Cave Canem
Cave Canem (CC) was established in 1996 to address the underrepresentation and isolation of African-American poets in the literary landscape. CC focuses on cultivating artistic and professional growth of Black poets while fostering a vibrant community across the diaspora. It provides a nurturing space for poets to learn, create, and present their work. By empowering Black poets to write authentically, enhances the visibility and appreciation of Black voices in poetry.
